Quartet / Ensemble coaching______________________ Sue McKenzie is one of Scotland’s leading contemporary saxophonists and a graduate of the Royal College of Music. She is a Rico Artist and was Assistant Director of the World Saxophone Congress 2012. She has studied with Dr Eugene Rousseau at the Hamamatsu International Wind Festival (Japan), in the USA with Lynn Klock at the University of Massachusetts and David Murray (World Saxophone Quartet, Paris). __________________Sue has performed and recorded with US based Unknown Prophets, James Ross (Greentrax Records) and Salsa Celtica. She has recorded for Linn Records / Delphian Records. She also performs with the Glasgow Improvisors Orchestra and has recently performed at the Edinburgh International Jazz And Blues Festival with her own band Dark Grooves.___________________ Sue is also the leader of the Scottish Saxophone Ensemble who recently released their debut album “Mrs Malcolm” with Largo Music. She teaches saxophone at Edinburgh Napier University and St Andrews University.
