Gary Stewart Hamilton
I first learned the sax by ear back in 1982 at the age of 17. I played in rock, blues and funk bands and later started to study music more seriously. I have ABRSM certificates in jazz(grade 5 merit) and classical(grade 6 merit)and a B.A Hons degree in jazz.
I have studied a wide variety of improvisational techniques and methods for improving fluency. I trascribe such soloists as,Charlie Parker, Art Pepper, Cannonball Adderley and Maceo Parker and have a working knowledge of the Sibelius computer program.
